Get a Vietnam Visa
Important Information
Type of Travel DocumentAll travellers carrying Certificates of Identity or Temporary passports are required to apply for visa prior to arrival. Currently the Vietnamese government only recognizes Singapore (Temporary passports and Certificate of Identity) and UK temporary passports as a valid travel document. All other countries' travellers carrying these types of travel documents are not allowed to travel to Vietnam.
Business Travel Requirements for an Vietnam Visa for Singapore Citizens
Visa May Not Be Required
Visa exempt for a stay of up to 30 days. The travellers must:
- Hold a passport valid at least six months beyond intended stay with one blank visa page
- Hold proof of sufficient funds
- Hold proof of onward/return airline tickets
- Hold all documents required for the next destination
- Hold visa for next country where applicable
- Confirm with their airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change
Eligibility and Documentation
For stays of longer than 30 days, a visa is required. The requirements can be found within the VisaCentral application pack.The Government of Vietnam utilises an electronic visa issuance system which is the equivalent to a visa, but no stamp or label is placed in the passport.
To be eligible the traveller must:
- Hold a passport valid at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
- Hold proof of sufficient funds
- Hold proof of onward/return flights
- Hold proof of hotel reservation
- Hold all documents required for the next destination
To complete the order form the traveller must provide:- A photograph
- A copy of the passport information page
